Girl Scouts Of Nassau County
The goal in developing this facility was to create a flexible community space to host Girl Scout council programs,
partner initiatives, troop meetings, and community-centric events to help foster revitalization in the
underserved area for the program in the Roosevelt community, without losing sight of our mission to
provide a safe, empowering environment for girls to participate in Girl Scouting without restrictions or
barriers.
My concept
The concept for my design is adventure/activity. The outdoor activity area, subtractions in the upper and lower level , and leaving an odd shaped massing in the middle displays a sense of adventure inside the building.
